  • Obstetric appointments

Your first scheduled appointment should occur at approximately at 8 – 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Your consultation will begin with one of our experienced midwives & you will then be seen by your Obstetrician. A detailed medical & family history will be taken followed by an examination and ultrasound to confirm the stage of your pregnancy. You will receive information about early pregnancy care, antenatal classes and booking into the hospital.
We will discuss a plan, including investigations for early pregnancy.

As there is a lot we need to discuss please allow 1.5 -2 hours for your first appointment.

Our next meeting will be at 14 weeks when we will finalise your due date, discuss the schedule of appointments and management plans for the ongoing care of you & your baby throughout your pregnancy. It is anticipated that this and subsequent visits will require between 15-30 minutes.

    Please bring your:

    • Referral letter for the current condition
    • Medicare details
    • Health Fund details
    • Any results and reports (blood tests, ultrasound scans)

  • Gynaecology appointments

Your doctor will take a detailed medical history & perform an examination as necessary, including pap smear if it is due. A management plan will be discussed with you, including the need for any further investigations or procedures.

Your appointment will be approximately 30-45 minutes long or 60 minutes if you are coming for Urodynamics. Follow up appointments generally take between 15-30 minutes.

We will have seen your referral prior to your appointment but please bring in a hard copy if you have one.

    Please also bring your:

    • Referral Letter
    • Medicare Card
    • Pension card if applicable
    • Health Fund Details
    • Any recent blood results, X-rays, CT scans or ultrasound scans

Fees & Payment Options

  • Consultation: There will be an out of pocket expense for all appointments. Please contact the rooms to discuss.
  • Hospital Information: Please call the hospital for costings and any possible additional fees related to your surgery or pregnancy. If you are admitted during pregnancy or your baby is admitted postnatally there may be additional fees.
  • Anaesthetist: Costs associated with anaesthetic fees for a delivery are dependent on the type of delivery being carried out and the anaesthetist administrating the anaesthetic. It is not possible to always know who the anaesthetist will be and hence quoting of fees is difficult. Costs associated with a gynaecological procedure are dependent on the procedure and you can contact your anaesthetist prior to surgery for this information
  • Paediatrician: will be requested and unless your baby is admitted to hospital, the fees are not covered by your private health fund and therefore visits by the paediatrician will incur gap fees.
  • Assistance Fee: If you have a surgical procedure (gynaecological or caesarean section) another doctor maybe required to assist. There will be a cost associated with this.
  • Pathology / Radiology / Additional Fees: In the event of unforeseen circumstances additional services may be required which may result in further charges to you.

Cancellation Policy

24 hour notification of appointment cancellation is required otherwise a $60.00 failure of attendance fee will be incurred.
